Daily Maintenance Steps to Extend Marine Hydraulic Globe Valve Service Life Onboard
Long-term operation under high pressure, salt fog and contaminated hydraulic oil will cause actuator jamming, sealing wear and internal leakage of marine hydraulic globe valve, regular standardized maintenance can effectively prolong its service life and reduce unexpected system shutdown. Every shift, engineers need to observe the hydraulic actuator action state; slow switching or jamming indicates polluted hydraulic oil or worn piston seals, and timely oil replacement and seal replacement are required. Weekly check the flange and actuator joint gaskets, replace aging rubber parts to avoid external hydraulic oil leakage polluting cabin equipment. Monthly clean the valve internal cavity and filter impurities mixed in hydraulic oil to prevent scratch on the valve seat sealing surface affecting throttling accuracy. Lubricate the hydraulic actuator transmission shaft every quarter with marine anti-rust grease to ensure flexible remote control response. Do not adjust the hydraulic pressure beyond the valve rated parameter arbitrarily, which will lead to permanent deformation of the valve body. After long-distance ocean voyage, conduct full hydrostatic pressure test on marine hydraulic globe valves to verify sealing performance. Scientific maintenance can make the valve work stably for 4-6 years on ocean-going vessels, cut spare parts procurement cost, keep the ship hydraulic system running continuously and safely during long-term navigation.
