Daily Maintenance Checklist For Marine Duplex Oil Filter On Working Vessels
Scientific daily maintenance of marine duplex oil filter avoids pipeline blockage, oil pressure drop and engine oil supply failure during marine navigation, extending filter service life effectively. Ship engineers need to check differential pressure gauge data every shift; obvious pressure rise means inner filter mesh is clogged, switch the reversing handle to standby cavity immediately for online cleaning. Open the drain valve regularly to discharge settled sludge and water at filter cavity bottom, preventing impurity corrosion on valve inner wall. Clean stainless steel filter mesh with professional diesel cleaning liquid, avoid hard brushing damaging mesh aperture affecting filtration accuracy. Inspect sealing rubber gaskets monthly, replace aging gaskets to prevent oil leakage caused by ship jolting. Lubricate reversing valve spindle every quarter to ensure flexible switch operation. Do not use unmatched high-precision mesh arbitrarily, which will cause excessive oil flow resistance. Well-maintained duplex oil filters can serve 3-5 years on ocean-going ships, reduce spare parts purchasing frequency, stabilize fuel and lube oil supply, guarantee continuous and safe operation of ship main engines and auxiliary machinery in complex marine working environments.
